Nashville, Tenn. — Today at its annual Convention & Expo, the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) elected AHCA's Board of Governors and NCAL's Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 term. Phil Fogg, president and CEO of Marquis Companies, was re-elected as AHCA Chair, and Gerald Hamilton, co-owner of BeeHive Homes, was re-elected as NCAL chair.
"We are fortunate to have such determined, diverse leaders on the AHCA/NCAL boards," said Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “Nursing homes and assisted living communities are eager to rebuild, rebound, and revitalize in 2023. We must strengthen the entire profession for a growing elderly population, and our expert board members are focused on the task at-hand."

Members of the AHCA Board of Governors are elected by the association's governing body, the Council of States. The NCAL Board of Directors is elected by current members of the NCAL Board and by the NCAL State Leaders. Both boards hold annual elections at the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo.
