NOW AVAILABLE: Updated Annual DTC and MSPB Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports for Skilled Nursing Facilities

​On October 15, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the annual update for the following two post-acute care (PAC) Health Equity Confidential Feedback Reports for Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) in iQIES: 

  • Discharge to Community (DTC) Health Equity Confidential Feedback Report 
  • Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary (MSPB) Health Equity Confidential Feedback Report 
The Fall 2024 Health Equity Confidential Reports are based on data from Calendar Year 2022-2023 for Home Health (HH) and Fiscal Year 2022-2023 for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH), and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings. 
These reports provide insights into DTC and MSPB measure outcome differences across various social risk factors. The outcomes are stratified by: 

  • Medicare-Medicaid dual-enrollment status (duals and non-duals) 
  • Patient race/ethnicity (non-White and White patients) 
This data is intended to help SNFs assess their performance for populations that may have historically faced disadvantages. Providers can leverage these reports to guide internal quality improvement efforts aimed at ensuring equitable health outcomes for all individuals.
