HHS Launches National Campaign to Promote Vaccination for Respiratory Viruses

As the respiratory virus season nears, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has introduced the "Risk Less. Do More." campaign. This nationwide initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination against flu, COVID-19, and RSV, particularly for those at higher risk, including older adults and long term care residents.

The campaign emphasizes the critical role of vaccines in reducing severe illness and hospitalization during the colder months. By providing clear and research-backed information, HHS encourages everyone to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their communities.

Long term care providers play a key role in promoting health and safety. Ensuring that both staff and residents are informed about and have access to these vaccines is essential for a healthy season.
