In 2024, the AHCA/NCAL Regulatory and Clinical Team continues to update long-term care (LTC) providers with recently published resources. These resources were prepared with AHCA/NCAL members in mind and reflect member feedback in their creation. The Association aims to support providers by ensuring they have the tools to stay compliant with various regulatory requirements.

F880, Infection Prevention and Control continues to be one of the top ten citations in 2024. With the implementation of Enhanced Barrier Precautions (EBP) on April 1, AHCA has observed increased citations related to EBP.
AHCA has recently posted an EBP Toolkit, including information adapted from the toolkit developed by the Arkansas Health Care Association, in partnership with the American Health Care Association. This toolkit is designed for healthcare staff in long-term care and assisted living facilities, supported by the Arkansas Department of Health Grant Project #4600054057.
Additional Regulatory Resources:
The Five-Star Quality Rating System education program offers comprehensive training for nursing facility administrators and nurse leaders. This program provides a detailed review of the methodology for the overall Five-Star Quality Rating System, including the separate domains for health inspections, staffing, and quality measures.
