NCAL is dedicated to providing regulatory resources for assisted living providers to be effective advocates across the country. As part of this effort, NCAL has partnered with Formation HealthCare and is using CarePrepare and In-Cite data to provide members access to
state assisted living survey data where available.
This NCAL member resource (log-in required) is an easy to use interactive tool that identifies deficiency summaries and regulations by state. In an effort to find commonalities among differing state regulations, survey deficiencies have been categorized by CarePrepare into eight different categories: Administration, Dietary, Facility/Environmental, Life Safety, Quality of Care, Resident Satisfaction, Staffing Training, and Other.
The data is updated quarterly. States not represented in the data include Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah.
This new tool joins the currently available
State Bill Tracker, an interactive map displaying a list of all legislation and regulations NCAL regularly tracks. Additional assisted living regulatory resources will be available later this year – including the assisted living regulation mapping – to further support members.
