NCAL's Guiding Principles

​NCAL developed the Guiding Principles as an informational resource to generally describe what assisted living is and some of the ways that the assisted living profession is striving to continue developing and improving services. ​
 
The contents of the Guiding Principles may represent some preferred practices, but do not represent minimum standards, “standards of care,” or industry-wide norms for assisted living​ communities.
